Prayer
is a gift of God. "Gift" is a good word to describe prayer,
because praying is not something we can do of ourselves. "
We do not know how to pray as we ought," scripture says. Prayer
is a gift God must give.
O
Lord, open my lips
and my mouth shall proclaim your praise.
O God, come to my assistance.
O Lord, make haste to help me.

for Guidance Of St. Joseph Parish on Our New Church Project
Lord,
Help us to be always open to your will as we respond to the many
challenges in our parish.
Help us to recognize and best utilize all the gifts with which you
have blessed us.
Unite us as one community that values its diversity.
Grant us the foresight, courage and wisdom to pray together, especially
to work together for our coming new church and to grow together
for the enhancement of our parish community, striving always to
be faithful to our parish mission- the mission of Jesus Christ.
