St. Joseph Parish Mission Statement
St. Joseph Parish, a growing and changing community, is geographically and culturally diverse. We are strongly united by our common faith in God. We seek to serve all people with humility and joy. Guided by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by prayer and sacraments, we strive to nurture our community. We are committed daily to continue the mission of Jesus Christ: preaching, teaching, healing, and building community by reaching out to all people.

Welcome to Our Place of Prayer, Our House of Blessing

The Beginning

The seeds of our new St. Joseph church were planted more than 20 years ago when Ethel Mulligan donated six acres of land in Lincoln for a church site. Over the years the dream has been nurtured by Clergy, Religious and Parishioners longing for a new home. While the original structure has served its people well over the past 80 years, it is tired and not large enough to accommodate the ever-growing parish community.

The process of envisioning, planning, decision-making, funding, needs-balancing and overcoming a multitude of other challenges, coupled with construction issues and the weather, has been a character-building experience. Now we have reached a time for dedication and a cause for celebration for what has been accomplished. Let us take our tour through this place of prayer, this house of blessing.
